Rex Infernus has three Mr Peeks headphones hidden across the map, and grabbing all three sets off the map’s music Easter egg. They sit in Aranea Insula, Ruinas Insula, and Nyxara Main Chamber. Two are easy walk-up grabs and the third needs a wall-jump. Here is exactly where each one is, from our own runs on the map.
- Three headphones: one in Aranea Insula, one in Ruinas Insula, one in Nyxara Main Chamber.
- Interact with all three to trigger the map’s music Easter egg, a rock song in the vein of 115.
- Aranea Insula and Ruinas Insula are easy. Nyxara Main Chamber needs a wall-jump.
- You get an audio cue the second the third set is done.
What the Mr Peeks Headphones Do
The headphones are Rex Infernus’s music Easter egg. Find all three sets, interact with each, and the map hands you a hidden song. In our runs it played like the old-school Zombies tracks: drums, electric guitar and a female vocalist, very much in the lane of classics like 115. Nothing you shoot, nothing on a timer, just three collectibles you interact with.
Rex Infernus launched on August 20, so the song’s official title was not confirmed yet when we wrote this. We will drop it in here once Treyarch or the community pins it down. What matters in-game is the audio cue: the moment you finish the third headphone, you hear it, and that is your confirmation.

Each spot has an in-game shot next to the tac-map. Click either one to zoom in and match the location marker in the top bar to your own minimap as you move.
1. Aranea Insula, by Widow’s Wine
Head to the Widow’s Wine side of Aranea Insula and look at the base of the stone wall where the bones pile up. The headphones sit right in the bones next to a skeleton, low to the ground. No climbing, just walk up and interact. This is the easiest of the three.

Over in Ruinas Insula the headphones rest on a stone window ledge set into a ruined wall, tucked back in the opening rather than out on the floor. Hop or wall-jump up to the ledge and interact from there. They blend into the grey stone, so look inside the window frame rather than sweeping the ground.

The last set is in Nyxara Main Chamber, and it is the one that trips people up. It sits up high on the lava-cracked structure, so you cannot just walk to it. Line up a wall-jump onto the ledge, then interact. Take it on a calm round, because juggling the jump with a train of zombies on you is how this spot gets missed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Mr Peeks headphones are on Rex Infernus?
Three. They sit in Aranea Insula, Ruinas Insula, and Nyxara Main Chamber. You interact with each set, and all three together complete the music Easter egg.
What is the reward for the Mr Peeks headphones on Rex Infernus?
Finishing all three triggers the map's hidden song, a rock track in the style of classic Zombies songs like 115. The exact title was not officially confirmed at launch, so treat the name as pending until Treyarch or the community locks it down.
Which Rex Infernus headphone is the hardest to reach?
The one in Nyxara Main Chamber. It sits up high, so you need a wall-jump to get to it. The Aranea Insula and Ruinas Insula sets are far easier and mostly walk-up grabs.
How do you know you found all three headphones?
You get a clear audio cue the moment the third set is done. If you interacted with a headphone and heard nothing after, you still have at least one left to find.
