Operation Silent Ledger is the chapter-ending Story Mission of Ch. Counterfeit in MW4 DMZ. You enter the Heavenly Luck Casino in Cheongun Village, start a generator in the parking garage, open the vault fence through a security camera, drill the basement vault and extract the printing plates in the exfil chopper. We ran it with our squad on October 20, 2026, the first day of DMZ early access, and it took about 12 minutes from spawn to Mission Complete.

Honestly, it is a pretty easy mission, and a fun one. There are no elites in the casino, only a lot of regular guards, so ammo matters more than anything else. The real money is the 12 optional cash bags in the vault, and that is where most of the cash in this run comes from.

TL;DR
  • Location: Heavenly Luck Casino, Cheongun Village. Threat assessment Medium, recommended 2-Plate Armor Vest and Medkit.
  • Route: Approach the Casino, Start the Generator, Go to Penthouse Security, open the vault fence with a parking camera, drill the vault, loot the plates, exfil.
  • Cash bags: 12 in the vault at $1,500 each in our run. Put them on the truck near the vault and drive them to the exfil.
  • Payout: the select screen lists $25,000, our after-action report showed a $5,000 Story Mission Payout.
  • Bring plenty of ammo, an ammo cache and two teammates you trust. Wait for the truck before anyone exfils.

The briefing explains the story. The enemy is bankrolling its operations with stolen printing plates, and the plates sit in a marked bag inside the casino vault. You get in, recover the bag and extract.

How to Start Operation Silent Ledger

Open Select Deployment, choose Story Missions and pick Operation Silent Ledger from the list. It is the chapter-ending Story Mission of Ch. Counterfeit, a chapter with 2 pages and 6 DMZ Orders. The other two chapters end with Operation Critical Extraction (Ch. Human Intel) and Operation Shopping Hacks (Ch. Underground).

In the DMZ Orders menu, Silent Ledger is order 03 on the chapter’s last page (page 3), with the task “Complete the Operation Silent Ledger Story Mission”. Finishing the mission ticks that order off as well.

Page 3 also has the order Eyes Everywhere, which asks you to print a Recon Drone and mark 10 enemies in the Heavenly Luck Casino with it. The casino is packed with guards during Silent Ledger, so if you already have the Recon Drone recipe from page 2, bring a drone and stack both orders in one run.

Operation Silent Ledger Walkthrough

These are the exact objective texts in the order the game gave them to us.

1. Approach the Casino

You spawn in Cheongun Village with the casino marker a few hundred meters out (291 meters on our spawn). The village is Low threat, but the casino switches to High as soon as you enter, and we had already eliminated 6 hostiles by the time we reached the front entrance.

2. Start the Generator

Inside, the objective changes to Start the Generator. Cross the dark casino floor past the slot machines and head down into the Heavenly Luck Casino Parking. The yellow portable generator sits in a small dark room on the parking level. If you have not been to Cheongun Village yet, our Hajin map guide shows where the casino sits.

Interacting starts a pull-start minigame. A marker sweeps across a timing bar and you press F (on PC) when it is inside the yellow sweetspot. A clean hit shows a “5 XP Sweetspot Hit” popup and the generator runs.

3. Go to Penthouse Security

With the power on, the objective becomes Go to Penthouse Security. Walk back through the parking lobby with the ATMs and follow the marker up to the security office.

4. Open the Vault Fence Using a Parking Level Camera

In penthouse security, find the desk with the CCTV monitor and use Security Station - Parking Levels. That opens a full-screen camera feed. On PC you switch cameras with A and D, zoom with Q and E, and there is a night vision toggle for the darker feeds. Cycle until you see the caged vault area in the basement and look at the vault fence. The fence opens and the objective jumps to Breach the Vault in the Basement.

Check the counter in the security office before you leave. We found Ballistic Flight Logs there, an Uncommon valuable worth $1,000 at the FOB.

5. Breach the Vault in the Basement

Take the elevator marked B1/B2 Parking in the casino lobby down to the basement. Place the drill on the round vault door and a Drilling Safe bar starts filling. This is the only part of the mission where you have to hold a spot, and the guards push you while it runs. Plate up before you place the drill and keep someone on each approach.

6. Loot the Printing Plates from the Vault

When the drill finishes, a “Casino Vault Has Been Breached” banner pops and the objective changes to Loot the Printing Plates from the Vault. Grab the plates from the vault. At the same moment a side op appears, Cash Bags Secured 0/12.

7. Extract the Printing Plates in the Exfil Chopper

With the plates in hand, the last objective is Extract the Printing Plates in the Exfil Chopper. The mission completes when the plates leave on a chopper. On the way out we also picked up Infantry Invasion Plans, another Uncommon $1,000 valuable, from a shelf in the parking level, and a second optional side op showed up, Repair the Vehicle (2/4 in our run).

Cash Bags and the Truck

The cash bags are optional, and skipping them is a mistake. Each bag was worth $1,500 in our run and the side op counts 12 of them. That is up to $18,000 sitting in the vault, well above the $5,000 Story Mission Payout on our after-action report.

Carrying them one at a time is slow. There is a truck near the vault, so load every bag onto the back, drive it to the exfil and throw the bags into the chopper (the prompt is Throw Cash Bag, V on PC). The cash showed up as extra money on our extraction screen.

Agree with your squad to wait for the truck. Our Mission Complete banner popped while one of us was still driving the bags, 287 meters from the rest of the squad at the exfil. The plates left, the mission counted, and the truck had to catch a later exfil at Cheongun Outskirts. Teammates who exfil before the bags arrive can miss out on a lot of cash.

Operation Silent Ledger Rewards and Payout

The mission select screen lists four rewards.

  • Gold Bar x1 (the chapter screen also shows it as the mission reward)
  • A vault key x1. Its name is cut off on the select screen, which shows “Counting R…” in one view and “…Room Vault” in the other.
  • A Polaris Dagor A1 vehicle (also truncated, but the two halves line up)
  • $25,000 cash

Our after-action report told a different story on the cash. It showed a Story Mission Payout of $5,000, next to Cash Banked $4,200 and Misc Cash Earned $9,000, for $18,200 in banked cash. We also brought out 4 valuable items, 2 printer ingredients, 9 printer resources and 3 epic items. We can’t tell from one run whether the $25,000 lands somewhere else, so check your Bank before and after.

Finishing Silent Ledger also completes order 03 on page 3 of Ch. Counterfeit. Page 3 pays 20,000 cash, an Operator Rescue Beacon and a Weapon Insurance Contract once all three of its orders are done.

Loadout and Squad Tips

  • Ammo first. Bring enough ammo and an ammo cache. The drill phase is where you burn through it, and our magazine was close to empty while the bar filled.
  • Two good teammates. No elites, no boss. A squad that holds angles at the vault is all this mission asks for.
  • Don’t rush the generator. Wait for the marker to sit in the yellow zone before you press. If the first camera feed doesn’t show the fence, cycle cameras and use night vision.
  • Loot the valuables on the route. The security office and the parking level each gave us a $1,000 valuable.

If you own the Epic Vault Armory key, bring it. Its description says it unlocks the small armory in the underground parking of the Heavenly Luck Casino, the same level you walk through for the generator. We found ours in a duffel at Songdo Wharf.

Once you finish it, Silent Ledger becomes eligible for Random Story Mission, which runs at Medium to Extreme threat with squad fill required. DMZ early access opened on October 20 and the full launch is October 23 (Activision).
